Craigslist Gets a 5 billion Dollar Evaluation
I guess I have to retract that statement I just wrote about Craigslist’s Value. According to Blodget craigslist is worth 5 billion dollars. Of course this is not based on its actual revenue, but based on what they would be worth if they were run differently with an eye towards maximizing revenues—which, of course, could impact how consumers interact with them, which in turn would impact their valuations.
To find a Free Los Angeles Classified or a Los Angeles craigslist competitor
Interesting how Craigslist Users stand by them no matter what.
Los Angeles craigslist competitor
My opinion on the eBay law suit against Craigslist and all of its sub communities, losangeles craigslist and so forth is simple. On craigslist blog that was named “Tainted Love” , they failed to answer on simple question. Did they attempt to dilute eBays shares or not? If you were to ask my personal opinion I would say yes. Two reasons why:
1. I doubt eBay would file a frivolous lawsuit after owning 28% stake for 4 years, when craigslist is for lack of better words, NOT A HUGE MONEY MAKER.
2. Why won’t craiglist answer the simple question? Did you dilute the shares or not? Everyone wants to sit there and cry the big bad wolf is trying to kill the sheep. Bottom-line if you try to rip anyone off for what they bought, you will eventually get caught
Craigslist expands without fanfare
The classified ads site that has destroyed newspaper business models across the world, Craigslist, has just got 27% bigger. Its founder, Craig Newmark, quietly announced two days ago on his blog: “Well, we just added what looks like 120 new cities, bringing it to 570, I think. (got to confirm) “
As Seamus McCauley remarks, that probably amounts to a 27% expansion of Craiglist’s global footprint and “immediately introduces a major competitive threat to newspaper publishers and any other media businesses relying on lassified advertising model, online or off, in those 120 cities.” It surely does.
In other Classified news, a new and upcoming classified site named OLX raised 13.5 Million in funding, bringing its total funding amount to 23.5 million. Look for OLX to be a major competitor to craigslist worldwide and look for adLump to be a competitor in the Los Angeles Classified market

The Internet is a valuable tool for many people. It can be used to find valuable information but it is not always a safe place for children. It can lead them down a road of illegal activities. Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating a prostitution case involving a 13 year old korea-town resident (west downtown la)
The prostitution allegations she’s involved with are a result of some ads she placed on the losangeles.craigslist.org the los angeles page of craigslist.
Craigslist is different in the fact it’s main purpose is for classifieds as opposed to social networking. However it’s still considered an unsafe website for teens. We are recommending all parents monitor craigslist and all orher Los Angeles Classifieds use, the way the L.A.P.D is doing
